Residents gathered in all their finery at the Michigan Building to watch the race and to have fun with some races of their own! The Moosehaven Races kicked off with a rousing cheer as residents, on their favorite picks, battled it out on the track.
The overall winner was Mona Campbell and she celebrated her victory with a ‘gallop’ and the traditional roses. The winners of the Hat Contest were: 1st Place Maryann Silvers, 2nd Place Peggy Trumble, and 3rd Place Joy Benson.
Wonderful food and beverages made the gathering festive for all to enjoy. A big shout out to the Activities Committee, Debra & JB Williams, Jim Fleming, Leanna Miller, and Maggie Lazuka, for organizing this wonderful event!
